School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council is an opportunity for teachers, parents, students and the administration to work cooperatively in planning our future at Ocoee Middle School. Together, we are empowered to choose the direction that will best enable our students to succeed in the 21st century. In order to address the needs of all students, the SAC must be ethnically, racially, and economically representative of our community. All meetings are open and you are cordially invited to attend. Times of the meetings are listed in the Parent Newsletter. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. Your involvement and opinions are welcomed.

Additions School Volunteer Program

Ocoee Middle School is part of a district wide effort that encourages and promotes community involvement in Orange County Public Schools. Many Ocoee Middle School students have received individual help and attention, while our teachers have enjoyed and appreciated additional assistance. Volunteers can choose the grade level, day, and time that are convenient to their schedules. Our students need you! Become involved by calling the school at (407) 877-5035 and register at https://volunteer.ocps.net.

Fundraisers

Fundraisers are an excellent way for busy parents to contribute to their child’s school. Throughout the year Ocoee Middle School sponsors numerous activities to raise money for school activities and improved resources. Fundraisers are either done to benefit the entire school or an individual club or program. Below you will find a list of current fundraising programs and what you can do to help. Thanks!

Chaperones

Chaperones are always needed for fieldtrips and other after-school activities. Here you will find district requirements and procedures for chaperoning an event. Also, your child teachers will provide you with more detail information as the time approaches for field-trips, etc.
